“Yoga combined with prioritizing good rest and good nutrition has lead me into drug free remission from RA.”

I came to The Yoga Movement after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. My doctor told me to stop running immediately, that it was damaging my joints. Everything hurt and I was deeply frustrated with my body.  In hindsight the diagnosis turned out to be a blessing. It scared me enough to make a number of necessary changes, prioritizing my own health.

Yoga has been a big part of that. It taught me to listen to my body and to be gentler. Pain does not always equal gain.  Every class is as challenging as I want to make it and is able to grow along side me. I’m certain I’m stronger and more fit. Yoga combined with prioritizing good rest and good nutrition has lead me into drug free remission from RA.  I’d never have guessed I could feel this much better 4 years later.

I’m so thankful I found Jenny Hunter and the yoga movement.

“…yoga has eliminated my need for cortisone injections to relieve joint pain…”

Jenny has a quiet gift and, if you listen, watch and engage, you will feel better. I certainly do. At age 62 with a recent lupus diagnosis, aching joints and certain knowledge I was heading downhill, I discovered Jenny. Four years later she still personalizes every yoga class, guiding me gently past my fears with good humor and skill.

My doctor has weaned me off most lupus meds, yoga has eliminated my need for cortisone injections to relieve joint pain, and I am more flexible and stronger in the knowledge that I will continue to improve.

Thank you, Jenny.
